Upload business documents, manage file limits, and monitor document chunking.
Operator accepts business documentation under Knowledge Base > Documents (/kb):

Individual document content is capped at 500,000 characters per file to guarantee rapid real-time embedding and processing.
/kb) and click Upload Document.uploadKnowledgeDocumentAction validates file type and size, creates a document record in knowledge_documents, and enqueues a processing job.Processing progresses through four distinct states tracked in document_processing_jobs:
- queued: Upload received and queued for parsing.
- processing: File text extracted and sanitized.
- chunking: Text segmented into ~500-token chunks with 50-token overlap via chunkingService.
- completed: Chunks saved in knowledge_chunks and ready for RAG similarity matching.
You can edit any document's text directly in the dashboard using updateKnowledgeDocumentContentAction:
- Incremental re-chunking deletes outdated chunks and generates fresh segments.
- Document revision version is automatically incremented in metadata.version.
