SMS Overview

Operator utilizes Twilio Programmable Messaging to deliver transactional notifications, appointment reminders, and conversational SMS booking dialogues.

Setup Instructions

1. Navigate to Channels > SMS (/channels).
2. Provide your Twilio credentials:

4. - Auth Token
5. - Twilio Phone Number (in E.164 format, e.g., +14155550199).
6. Set your Twilio Messaging Webhook URL to:
7. https://YOUR_DOMAIN/api/webhooks/voice/inbound or your configured SMS webhook route.

Automated Appointment Reminders

The automated cron job (/api/cron/jobs) evaluates upcoming appointments and dispatches reminders via SMS: - 24-Hour Notice: Sent the day before scheduled bookings with date, time, and service details. - 2-Hour Notice: Final day-of confirmation.

Two-Way Text Chat

When customers text your number: - Messages are ingested into inbox_threads and matched with their CRM profile. - Operator's AI receptionist replies autonomously via SMS unless autonomy has been paused by staff.
